Purpose: | Provide a support for the delivery and achievement of Functional Skills, Maths, English and ICT on Apprenticeship programmes. Provide a support for the delivery and achievement of short CPD courses Work remotely alongside an eLearning platform to support delivery and learner achievement This will include co-ordinating assessment of learners, taking responsibility for on programme Functional Skills achievements. |
Based: | Home-based with some field delivery as required |
Basic Salary: | £23.4K |
Responsibilities:
- Manage learners alongside an eLearning portfolio to maintain progression to timely achievement of the required aim
- Maintain and support the required number of learners and progress in line with KPI’s
- Deliver remote learning and assess short courses remotely as required
- Assess initial assessment results and carry out further diagnostic assessments as appropriate, supporting learners with identified additional needs for functional skills
- Ensure the quality of the learning experience is maintained on programme, for CPD, essential skills and Function Skills learners
- Maintain records of learner’s progress and achievement and communicate these to Skills Coaches, IQA, learners and employers as required
- Liaise with Administrator to ensure funds are open for both additional learning support and Functional Skills
- Maintain high standards in completion and timely submission of reviews
- To support and adhere to internal and external quality assurance processes and procedures
- To support standardisation of the quality of delivery of Functional Skills within team
- Advocate the importance of Functional Skills amongst colleagues, employers, and learners
- Maintain and reconcile exemption certificates
- Maintain and reconcile invigilation records of all exams taken
- To support learners to remain fully engaged with their Functional Skills programme, adapting and tailoring the approach as per learner requirements
- Remain up to date with current trends and themes inspected by Ofsted, whilst ensuring Functional Skills delivery is consistent with IQA and regulatory standards
- Knowledge and familiarity with awarding organisations for apprenticeship standard qualifications
- Monitor Health & Safety, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, Safeguarding within employer settings in line with Eden’s health and wellbeing processes & policies
- Continually develop working knowledge (CPD) of Functional Skills requirement, specifications and standards
- Promote Eden Training Solutions at every opportunity with learners, as well as all other internal and external parties
- Carry out any additional duties as reasonably requested by line management
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Mandatory level qualifications:
- A*- C GCSE English (or Equivalent)
- Desirable level qualifications:
- TAQA or equivalent qualification (e.g. D32/33, A1, CAVA)
- Teacher, training qualifications or equivalent (e.g. PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert-Ed)
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience of 121 teaching, learning and assessment remotely and face to face on employer premises as required
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Problem solving skills
- Honesty and reliability
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Good ICT/digital skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire individuals to learn and achieve through face to face and remote media interactions
- Delivery of Functional Skills at Level 2 required but not essential
- Experience of Ofsted Inspections would be beneficial
