Happy Minds Kids Academy – Jade Derbyshire
Jade’s journey into childcare is a remarkable story of determination and success. Originally a parent of a child at the preschool, Jade expressed her desire to work with children to a staff member, who encouraged her to submit her CV. In February 2023, she joined the team as a Level 3 Apprentice.
Despite facing challenges with her initial college provider, Eden Training Solutions stepped in to take over in September 2023. As a term-time staff member, Jade worked tirelessly to manage her responsibilities, and after 15 months of dedication, she successfully completed her End Point Assessment in December 2023, officially becoming a fully qualified Level 3 childcare professional.
This achievement holds special significance for Jade, as it marks the first course she has completed since her GCSEs. Now an integral member of the team, Jade is sharing her expertise with other apprentices, passing on what she has learned. Her colleagues and mentor have praised her commitment and growth, describing her as a valued and inspiring team member. Jade’s story is a testament to perseverance and the power of following one’s passions.
